Dance It Out Studio Policies

General Policies

Staff only behind the front desk.

Please park in the street and enter building at the North door. Please watch for trucks pulling in and out.

No food or drinks allowed on the dance floor.

NO Gum!

No hands or “kisses” on the windows or mirrors.

Please store personal items in cubbies and not on the floor.

Dress Code

Dance clothes are required for all classes. This includes leotards, tights, brief shorts, tank tops, leggings, sweatpants or swaggies. No jeans or hoodies. Competition team dancers need to wear all black on Tuesdays. They may wear any colors on Thursdays.  Hair must be pulled up off of face. Dance shoes or bare feet are allowed for classes. No socks! Socks can cause a dancer to slip and fall.

Media Release

Pictures of dancers are often used on our website and social media to advertise and also to promote classes. By signing below, you agree to let us use your child’s photo for those purposes only.

Personal Property

Please put names on all shoes, costumes water bottles and bags. Dancers are responsible for their own personal property. They are also asked to stay out of other dancers bags, jackets and personal items.  The studio is not liable for any lost or stolen property.

Risks Related to Dance

As with all other sports and activities there is a risk of injury. In case of injury, an incident report will be filled out by the teacher and parent/guardians will be notified. Dance it Out Studios and Mike Norr Plumbing will not be held responsible for accidents or injuries that occur at the studio.

Attendance Policy

Dancers need to make every effort to attend classes. Competition teams are required to attend all practices the week before a performance or risk losing their spot in a routine. Please notify the studio, by texting, calling or emailing us to let us know that your dancer will not be there.  If vacations or extended illnesses occur, please notify the staff as soon as possible.  Depending on circumstances, classes missed for vacations or illness can be made up.  If students choose to not attend classes and quit the studio, all money paid for tuition, shoes, costumes will be forfeited. Those with an outstanding bill will be required to pay in full within 30 days of last class attended. Those who do not pay will continue to be charged late fees and account will be turned over to collections.
